Community Projects

Collaborative creative work in public and community spaces, with room for people to participate, contribute and help shape what is made.

Featured project

Stockton Community Bus Stop Art

Joint / Collaborative

A growing programme of creative work in public bus-stop spaces across Stockton-on-Tees, involving community participation, painting and locally shaped artwork.

The broad programme is collaborative, bringing together The Wooly Wood Shop and Creative Chaos CIC. Individual project details can be published more precisely as each piece of work is documented.

How projects can work

Different ways to make something together.

Public art

Creative work made for public and shared spaces, shaped around the place and the people using it.

Community engagement

Creative activity that gives local people ways to contribute ideas, take part and help shape shared work.

Participatory creative activity

Hands-on making and painting that invites people to join the creative process rather than only view the finished result.

Collaborative projects

Creative projects developed with organisations, venues, businesses and community groups where the brief calls for a shared approach.
